05-05-2010 During the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of NTFD, two members were cited and recognized for there outstanding efforts in resuscitation of a cardiac arrest in January 2010. Crew members FF/EMT Chase Edmister and FF/EMT James Hughes and Paramedic Lopez were each recognized by the EHSF and NTFD with the Medal of Gallantry for the tremendous efforts and prompt response and excellent patient care that was delivered.

"Because of there efforts, this individual is able to spend more time with his family and is able to see another day" said Executive Director C. Steven Lyle.

Captain Henry read aloud their individual citations from the EHSF, Dept of Health and was proud of their accomplishments. Chief Hatterer was on hand to personally congratulate each crew member for their outstanding performance. "It is performance like these two crew members that allow NTFD to continue to raise the bar on the standard of care!" said Capt Henry.

Congratulations to FF/EMT Edmister and FF/EMT Hughes and Paramedic Lopez (M68). A job well done!
